ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS OPPORTUNITIES:

COVENANT

The Covenant Class is available to adults of all ages who enjoy in-depth Bible study. Class members are given assignments to prepare for each week's lesson and various texts may be used to guide the study.

Location: Sanctuary Building Mezzanine (2nd Floor)

Teachers: Jim Fullwood, Jack & Gloria Norwood

FARMER – FELLOWSHIP

The Farmer – Fellowship Class is primarily for adult men of all ages, single and married. Classes are focused on selected Bible study topics including in-depth study of specific books of the Bible.

Location: Sanctuary Building – First floor

Teacher: Gary Honeycutt

HERITAGE

Heritage provides a Bible study class for couples and single adults age 50+. Traditional Bible studies are done using curriculum from Smith-Helwys’ Formations literature series. Lessons are frequently centered around Lectionary and Church Year themes.

Location: Sanctuary Building - First floor - (enter from the fellowship hall)

Teacher: Betty Niswonger

KAIROS

Kairos is a discussion-oriented class where issues of faith, theology and the Christian life can be studied in-depth. Topics cover a broad range and can include social issues, traditional Bible study, theology, spiritual development, and studies related to the origin and development of our faith traditions and teachings. Recent studies have included: “Can I Know God?”, “Saving Jesus (Living with the Issues curriculum), and an ethics-based Advent Bible study. The class is for all adult ages, and an inquiring spirit and open mind are welcome.

Location: Education Building – Second floor

Teachers: Joe & Lloyd Spruill. Class members may teach special topics as well.

LYDIA

Lydia is a traditional Bible study class for adult women of all ages, married and single. Lessons typically come from the Smith-Helwys Formations curriculum, which frequently parallels the Lectionary readings of the Church Year themes.

Location: Sanctuary Building – First floor

Teacher: Marie Mason

NEW BEGINNINGS

New Beginnings provides a class for young adults primarily in their 20’s and 30’s. An open inquiry/discussion format is followed focused on a variety of Biblical studies and related topics in the areas of faith and the spiritual life.

Location: Education Building – Second floor

Teachers: Woody & Kaye Catoe
