Missions & Ministries
Millbrook supports a wide variety of missions in both the local community and in the wider world. This is through direct involvement and/or through our financial support. Below is a partial list of our activities.

Backpack Buddies – The Youth and the Mission Kids sponsor the Backpack Buddies program at Millbrook.  Nutritious, non-perishable food items are collected the second Sunday of the month during the school year.  On weekends, qualifying Wake County school children take home backpacks filled with donated food items.
 
 
Ministries to Alleviate Homelessness – Our primary activities are involvement in Habitat for Humanity.

The Youth of Millbrook Baptist Church are collecting clean drink cans for recycling to benefit Habitat.
 
Fair Trade Ministry – On the second Sunday of the month, Fair Trade items are available for sale in the vestibule. Click here for more information.
 
Campbell Soup Labels – Campbell Soup Labels are collected for The Cossnore School. Founded in 1913, The Crossnore School is a private, non-profit, children’s home and school in the western North Carolina mountains, serving children who, for circumstances beyond their control, can no longer live at home, whether permanently or temporarily. Most residents live at Crossnore because their primary care givers are abusive or have neglected them to the point that their well being is being threatened. Residents come from all counties in North Carolina.
 
Dorcas Sewing Ministry – The Dorcas Sewing Ministry meets from 3 to 5 pm Wednesday afternoons and sews blankets, clothing, tote bags, chemo turbans, etc. for various charities. Click here for more information.
 
Pop the Top – The pull tabs from drink cans are collected to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

AIDS Care Team – Offers compassionate, non-judgmental support to persons living with HIV/AIDS. This care team is in partnership with the Alliance for AIDS Services-Carolina and the Faith Ministry Program.
