Purpose and Philosophy

Thank you for your interest in Millbrook Baptist Church Preschool. At MBC Preschool each child is special to us. We dedicate ourselves to the development of the “total child” by providing an educational setting for children ages one through five, which will facilitate skill development in the creative, physical, social emotional, language, cognitive and spiritual domains.

Through a program based upon the preschooler’s needs and abilities, we plan to help the child be adequate, secure, happy, and enjoy being a preschooler to the fullest.

We focus on methods of teaching based on a proper understanding of child development. Play is the work and language of children, and skillfully directed “work-play” is the foundation of a good preschool. We recognize the value of work-play to children and use it throughout our curricula.

At Millbrook Baptist Church Preshool, your child will have an opportunity each school day to participate in developmentally appropriate activities. Your child will grow toward future happiness and adequacy because our program meets the current needs, interests and abilities of children. We provide a varied program of:

There are currently openings in some classes. We invite you to visit our school and to observe in our classrooms. You do not need to make an appointment. The best way for you to evaluate our programs is to see us interacting with the children, so the best time to come is between 9:30-11:30 any weekday.
