Millbrook Baptist Preschool Curriculum

Some units are part of all age groups.  As the children mature, they will study a subject in more detail.

Ages 2-5 attend chapel weekly.

Children in each age group participate in an environment with varied activities that stimulate the child to develop...

  • Pre-reading skills through likenesses and differences, letter recognition, auditory perception with phonics and rhyming words

  • Math skills including counting and recognition of numbers 1-20, shapes in our environment, comparison, sequence and classification
  • Science skills by observing how things change in nature, by cooking and by learning about magnets, animal homes and habits, and color properties
  • Rhythm, art, music and movement
  • Personal growth through units about me, my family and other cultures
  • Gross and fine motor skills
