Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
5:30pm Tuesday, Febuary 21st
Join us for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper (with sausage 'n bacon). Shrove Tuesday is a term associated in English-speaking countries, especially the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of the United States, for the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of fasting and prayer called Lent. With the rise of highly publicized festivals, Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) has become a more familiar designation for this day.
Ash Wednesday Service
6:30pm Wednesday , February 22nd
Join us for our fellowship meal at 5:30pm and then at 6:30pm for a service of repentance in the sanctuary. This is always a very meaning ful service and a perfect way to begin this important season that prepares us for Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday.
Columbarium and Memorial Garden
Deadline Extended to March 31st, 2012
The next few months are critical to the success of the MBC Columbarium and Memorial Garden project. In order to build this dignified and serene facility to preserve the memory of our loved ones, we must first have the funds to do so.
To answer individual questions and to facilitate the collection of payment for niche, scatter rights and/or memorial plaques, a member of the MBC Columbarium and Memorial Garden Committee will be available during these months either on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings or by appointment.
The deadline for receiving your reservations (with signed contract and checks) is March 31, 2012. We look forward to hearing from all of you!
